JCPenney: Q3 outperforms expectations.
(CercleFinance.com) - JCPenney has reported encouraging Q3 results, announcing before Wall Street opened this Friday before meeting in New York a net loss of 41 cents per share, against a previous loss of 22 cents.
Excluding extraordinary items, the group's net loss reached 33 cents per share, against a 42-cent loss expected by the consensus.
Despite falling 1.8% year-on-year, revenues also exceeded expectations, reaching 2.81 billion dollars, while the consensus was looking for 2.77 billion dollars.
The group targets adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of between 2 cents and 8 cents for the current year.
