Nvidia: buys data management expert SwiftStack
(CercleFinance.com) - US graphics chipmaker Nvidia has signed a definitive agreement to acquire SwiftStack, an expert in multi-cloud data management and cloud storage infrastructure, the companies said on Friday.
In a statement, Nvidia and SwiftStack said that they have worked together for more than a year to solve the data challenges to enable graphics processing unit (GPU)-powered AI infrastructure, in preparation for the building of supercomputers.
The transaction, whose terms were not disclosed, is expected to close in the coming weeks.
