Nike: taps former eBay CEO as next chief executive
(CercleFinance.com) - Nike said on Tuesday that John Donahoe, the former boss of eBay, will succeed Mark Parker as its CEO when the latter retires next year, after holding the role since 2006.
John Donahoe will be appointed as the company's new CEO, effective 13 January 2020, Nike said.
At the same time, Mark Parker will become executive chairman and continue to lead the board of directors, the US sports gear maker said.
Donahoe is currently CEO of US cloud computing company ServiceNow. From 2008 through 2015, he was CEO of eBay.
He will remain on Nike's board, where he has been a member since 2014, the group said.
