Nike: Susquehanna maintains 'positive' rating.
(CercleFinance.com) - Susquehanna maintains its "positive" rating on Nike after the U.
S. apparel maker announced yesterday changes to its geographic reporting structure and a 2% reduction in workforce.
In a research note sent to clients, the brokerage says the announcements are "welcomed" steps in the group's strategy.
"It appears to us that everything Nike is working on is a brand-first story," Susquehanna said. "If the initiatives don't help the Nike brand, they do not happen," it added.
"We believe that Nike management is well aware of the troubles of the recent past, and the changes announced today are likely to leave those troubles there, in the past", the broker concludes.
