News Corp: Q2 EPS above expectations

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening News Corp announced Q2 EPS of 16 cents, compared to a loss of 14 cents per share the previous year.


Adjusted EPS reached 18 cents, three cents above the consensus.

The media group increased its EBITDA by 13% to 370 million dollars, for revenues that are up 21% at 2.63 billion dollars, thanks to the integration of Foxtel, as well growth in the group's book publishing business and digital real estate services.

News Corp also highlights a continuation in the growth momentum of digital pay subscriptions in its news and information services, including accelerating gains for The Wall Street Journal.
