News Corp: Q3 adjusted earnings up 78%
(CercleFinance.com) - News Corp, the parent company of Dow Jones, HarperCollins and Foxtel, amongst others, on Thursday evening reported adjusted EPS of 16 cents for its Q3 2021-22, compared with 9 cents in Q3 last year.
Its segment EBITDA rose 20% to 358 million dollars on revenues that are up 7% to 2.49 billion dollars, i.e. a record for this period of the year, driven by all revenue lines (+6% excluding scope and currency effects).
The company said that it benefited from a jump in digital advertising revenues, including 21% growth at Dow Jones, and an increase exceeding 15% in paid digital subscribers in its key markets.
