Netflix: another nice rise in subscriber numbers
(CercleFinance.com) - Netflix has announced that it recorded just under 7 million additional subscribers in Q3, bringing its total subscribers to 137.
1 million (including 130.42 million paying subscribers).
Regarding its financial results, the streaming giant's revenues came in at close to 4 billion dollars, compared to just under 3 billion dollars in the same period a year ago. Meanwhile, net income reached 403 million dollars, compared with 130 million dollars in the third quarter of 2017.
EPS, which is considered a benchmark across the Atlantic, came in at 89 cents. This is both higher than last year's level (29 cents) and expectations; the consensus was expecting 68 cents.
For Q4, Netflix expects the number of subscribers to rise to 146.50 million, including 138.02 million paying subscribers, with revenues of about 4.199 billion dollars.
