Netflix: raises debt issue, with strong demand
(CercleFinance.com) - Higher-than-expected demand has enabled Netflix to increase the debt it plans to raise on the financial markets, the American provider of online streaming videos said on Tuesday.
Netflix today announced an offering of 1.9 billion dollars of 5.875% senior notes due in 2028, while the company was previously expecting to raise about 1.5 billion dollars.
Netflix intends to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include content acquisitions, production and development, along with potential acquisitions and strategic transactions, the group said.
