The New York-based investment bank said that the acquisition of the trading specialist will enable it to strengthen its wealth management business, which currently manages some 3.3 trillion dollars in assets.
As part of the deal, Shelley Leibowitz, one of the independent directors of E*TRADE, has today joined Morgan Stanley's board of directors.
