Monsanto: Hugh Grant to leave after Bayer acquisition
(CercleFinance.com) - The president of Monsanto, Hugh Grant, announced this Monday in a memo published in the early afternoon that he is soon to step down, once the acquisition of the group by Bayer has been finalised.
This transaction, unveiled in autumn 2016 and estimated at more than 60 billion dollars, has already been validated by the European Union in March, as well as by Brazil as agricultural powerhouse in February.
"It has been a real privilege for me to serve Monsanto as CEO during this period of growth and extraordinary transformation for our company", said Hugh Grant.
