Mondelez: wants to develop package recycling
(CercleFinance.com) - As part of its strategy to develop the circular economy, Mondelez International has announced its commitment to make all of its packaging recyclable and to provide information on recycling by 2020.
The group, which owns the brands Lu, Milka and Cadbury, also expects that by 2020, all of its paper-based packaging will come from sustainable sources and that 65 million kilos of packaging will be eliminated globally.
The agri-food group will work to facilitate consumer recycling or reuse, and will support sectoral coalitions and public-private partnerships to develop a waste management infrastructure.
