Mondelez: inaugurates a plant in Bahrain
(CercleFinance.com) - Mondelez International has announced the inauguration of a biscuit manufacturing plant in Bahrain, a site that required a 90 million dollar investment by the US agri-food group.
This new unit, which will create around 150 direct jobs, will have a production capacity of nearly 45,000 tonnes a year and will produce iconic products such as Oreo cookies and Barni cakes.
It will be used to meet the needs of local consumers, but will also serve as an export platform in the Gulf region and Africa, hence reducing delivery costs and improving product freshness.
