Moderna: to build mRNA plant in Kenya
(CercleFinance.com) - Moderna has announced that it has signed an agreement with the Kenyan government to build an mRNA manufacturing facility in Kenya.
This would be the company's first mRNA manufacturing facility on the African continent.
In partnership with the Kenyan government, Moderna is expected to build a state-of-the-art mRNA facility that could produce up to 500 million doses of vaccine each year.
The company expects the new facility to enable the manufacture of drug substances and drug products for Kenya and the African continent.
