Microsoft: acquires an IoT security specialist
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Microsoft announced the acquisition of CyberX, a specialist in project security in the Internet of Things (IoT), thereby strengthening the capabilities of its Azure cloud platform.
Based in San Francisco, CyberX provides cybersecurity services for critical infrastructure to prevent outages, environmental incidents and intellectual property theft.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Two years ago Microsoft announced its intention to invest five billion dollars in the Internet of Things (IoT).
