(CercleFinance.com) - Microsoft can thank the cloud, the mastermind behind the group's excellent third quarter results.
Published overnight, results were marked by a net income of 6.58 billion dollars, or 84 cents per share, against 5.67 billion dollars, or 72 cents a share a year earlier. The consensus was expecting flat FY EPS.
Revenues grew by 12% from the previous quarter to 24.54 billion dollars, well above the consensus of 23.56 billion dollars. Revenues from the "Azure" offer again soared 90% over the period, after a 97% leap in Q2.
