Merck: submits application for a pneumococcal vaccine
(CercleFinance.com) - Merck (MSD outside North America) has announced that it has submitted applications to the US FDA and the European Medicines Agency for approval of V114, its investigational 15-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine for people of 18 years of age and older.
The health group is awaiting the acceptance of these files by the authorities in question. They include results from phase II and III clinical studies in various adult populations, including healthy adults and those at increased risk.
