Merck: completes acquisition of US rights from Virbac
(CercleFinance.com) - Merck Animal Health has completed the acquisition of the US rights to a brand of pet parasiticides from France's Virbac, the drugmaker said on Thursday.
The previously announced acquisition of the rights to the Sentinel chews in the companion animal category will help strengthen Merck Animal Health's position in the US with continuous parasite protection, the group said.
The deal also supplements the unit's portfolio of vaccines and pharmaceuticals, Merck said.
