Merck: two acquisitions have been completed
(CercleFinance.com) - US drugmaker Merck announced on Tuesday the successful completion of its cash tender offer for all of the shares of therapeutic vaccine firm Immune Design.
At the expiry of the offer, close to 42 million shares of Immune Design had been validly tendered, representing approximately 86.7% of the group's share capital, the company said.
Merck said it expects to complete the acquisition of Immune Design today.
Merck also announced late on Monday the completion of its acquisition of Antelliq Corporation, a French company that specialises in animal health digital tracking, traceability and monitoring technology.
Antelliq will be an operating unit within Merck Animal Health, the group said.
