Merck: head of human health business to leave

(CercleFinance.com) - The head of Merck's human health business will leave the company after 30 years, shifting to advisory functions to the CEO, the US drugmaker said late on Monday.

Merck said in a statement that it is taking the opportunity to reshape its commercial organization by creating two new executive roles.

Frank Clyburn - who was most recently the head of the oncology business - has been promoted to the role of chief commercial officer, while Michael Nally - who was managing director for UK, Ireland and Sweden - has been promoted to the position of chief marketing officer.
