Merck: raises targets for 2017.

(CercleFinance.com) - Merck has said that it now expects 2017 EPS of 3.
91 dollars to 3.97 dollars, against a previous target range of 3.76 dollars to 3.88 dollars, with revenues of 40 billion to 40.5 billion dollars, against 39.4 billion to 40.4 billion dollars previously.

In Q3, the pharmaceutical company reported adjusted net income (non-GAAP) that was up 2% at nearly 3.1 billion dollars, representing EPS of 1.11 dollar, while the consensus expected seven cents less.

At 10.3 billion dollars, the New Jersey-based health group's revenues were down 2% (-1% excluding FX factors), despite the strong growth of the Keytruda franchise (+194%) and other product launches.
