Merck: MSD Animal Health to purchase plant in Austria.
(CercleFinance.com) - MSD Animal Health, the veterinary unit of US drugmaker Merck, plans to purchase a new manufacturing facility in Austria in order to expand its vaccine manufacturing capacities.
MSD Animal Health intends to begin renovating the plant immediately and expects it to be ready for production in the coming years.
The Krems an der Donau facility, currently owned by Shire, was built in 2002.
