McDonald's: targets double-digit sales growth in China.
(CercleFinance.com) - McDonald's is aiming to achieve double-digit annual sales growth in China over the next five years, increasing its number of restaurants from 2,500 to 4,500 by the end of 2022, the company said on Tuesday.
The fast-food giant - which says that over 75% of its Chinese restaurants will offer delivery - said that the opening pace of new restaurants in mainland China is expected to progressively increase, from approximately 250 per year in 2017 to 500 per year in 2022.
The statement was made after the group' strategic partnership with CITIC and Carlyle has obtained China's regulatory approval and was completed on 31 July.
McDonald's shares were little changed this morning in New York, down 0.1% at 154.8 dollars.
