Marriott: resumes dividend payments
(CercleFinance.com) - On unveiling its quarterly results Marriott said that it is going to resume its dividend payments, with its board of directors announcing a dividend of 0.
30 dollar per share, payable on 30 June to shareholders on record on 16 May.
The hotel chain has announced adjusted earnings that increased more than twelvefold y-o-y to 413 million dollars, or 1.25 dollar per share, with adjusted EBITDA of 759 million dollars (from 296 million dollars in Q1 2021).
Comparable system-wide constant dollar RevPAR almost doubled (+96.5%, with +99.1% in North America and +88.5% internationally), driven by the strongest increase in global demand since the pandemic began in 2020.
The share seems to be regaining its fall yesterday (-2.9%) in pre-market trading today(+2.3%).
