Lockheed Martin: developing long-range missiles
(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin announced yesterday that it has been selected by the US Army Aviation and Missile Center to develop a maneuverable long-range advanced propulsion missile (LRMF).
The missile will be capable of being fired from existing Army launchers to defeat long-range threats.
Lockheed Martin is teaming up with the US Army to give soldiers a decisive advantage on the battlefield by extending their range, it said.
Phase 1 will focus on design and risk reduction activities, with optional follow-on phases leading to flight test demonstration.
