Lockheed Martin: successful test for new missile system
(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin has successfully tested its next-generation "Long-Range Guided Multiple Launch System" (ER GMLRS) missile during a 80-kilometer flight demonstration at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
During the flight test, the ER GMLRS cartridge was fired from the US Army's High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launcher, built by Lockheed Martin, meeting the test's targets.
The demonstration confirmed the missile's flight path performance, range and validated interfaces with the HIMARS launcher and system software performance.
