Eli Lilly: new FDA indication for Verzenio

(CercleFinance.com) - Eli Lilly announced today that the US FDA has approved Verzenio (Abemaciclib) in combination with an endocrine therapy (tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor), for the adjuvant treatment of adults with certain early breast cancers at high risk of recurrence, HR+ or HER2-, an approval that has been hailed as bringing new optimism to the breast cancer community.


The data supporting this approval will be presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) virtual plenary session on 14 October.
