Eli Lilly: raises quarterly dividend 15%

(CercleFinance.com) - Eli Lilly raised its quarterly dividend by 15%, sending its shares up over 3% in Wall Street.


The US drugmaker said that its board of directors declared a Q1 dividend of 0.645 dollar per share on outstanding common stock. It is payable on 8 March to shareholders on record as of 15 February.

The new payout will bring the annual indicated dividend to 2.58 dollars per share, it said.

At a meeting today with the investment community, Eli Lilly also confirmed most of its financial targets for 2019, with revenue expected to be between 25.3 billion dollars and 25.8 billion dollars.

The company has confirmed a 2018 EPS range of 5.55 dollars to 5.60 dollars.

Lilly shares are up 3% at 109.7 dollars in early morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
