Eli Lilly: Anne White promoted to president of oncology
(CercleFinance.com) - Eli Lilly has promoted executive Anne White to the role of senior vice president, overseeing the US drugmaker's oncology business, according to a statement on Friday.
White - who will replace Sue Mahony who is retiring - will also become a member of Lilly's executive committee, reporting directly to chairman and chief executive offer David Ricks, the company said.
White joined Lilly in 1991 as an engineer before transitioning to clinical research and later oncology drug development.
Her appointment will be effective as from 1 September.
