Kraft Heinz: sells a business in Canada
(CercleFinance.com) - Kraft Heinz announced on Tuesday evening an agreement to sell its natural cheese business in Canada to Parmalat for a price of 1.
62 Canadian billion dollars (about US 1.23 billion US dollars).
As part of this agreement, the US agri-food group will separate from its Ingleside production site in the Province of Ontario and will transfer approximately 400 employees from this site to the Italian group.
This transaction includes the sale of the brands Cracker Barrel, P'tit Quebec and aMOOza! in the Canadian market, and is expected to close in the first half of 2019, subject to regulatory reviews and approvals.
