J&J: applies to FDA for booster dose of its vaccine
(CercleFinance.com) - Johnson & Johnson today announced that it has applied to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for emergency use of a booster dose of its Covid vaccine in people aged 18 years and older.
The company says that it is basing its request on a Phase III study that showed that a booster dose of the vaccine administered 56 days after the primary dose provided 94% protection against symptomatic (moderate-to-severe/critical) COVID-19 at least 14 days after the booster vaccination.
