J&J: accelerated trials for vaccine against Covid-19
(CercleFinance.com) - Johnson & Johnson announced on Friday that its pharmaceutical subsidiary, Janssen, has entered into a collaboration agreement with the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a university-affiliated hospital linked to Harvard University, to develop a preventive vaccine against Covid-19.
Clinical trials have already begun, J&J says, which says that the aim is to identify a serious experimental candidate by the end of the month.
The American health group also says that it is "optimistic" that Phase 1 clinical trials will begin by the end of the year.
