J&J: accepts 2.1 billion dollars bid for diabetes unit
(CercleFinance.com) - Johnson & Johnson said on Tuesday that it has accepted an offer made by American private equity investment firm Platinum Equity to acquire its blood glucose monitoring unit LifeScan for approximately 2.
1 billion dollars.
LifeScan makes the OneTouch brand of products, which include glucose meters, insulin pumps and other diabetes management devices.
The transaction is expected to be closed by the end of 2018, J&J said.
