IBM: buys Australian digital agency Vivant.
(CercleFinance.com) - IBM said on Wednesday that it plans to buy the Australian consultancy agency Vivant to bolster its expertise in digital transformation.
Based in Sydney and Melbourne, Vivant uses an approach that is inspired by behavioural science, data and technology for start-ups and corporates, primarily in the financial services and distribution industries.
The financial details of the acquisition - which is is expected to be closed in the fourth quarter of 2017 - were not disclosed.
IBM also said today that it would collaborate with Bank of Montreal, CaixaBank, Commerzbank, Erste Group, and UBS to develop an open, blockchain-based trade finance platform.
