Intel: in consortium for confidential computing
(CercleFinance.com) - Intel announced on Wednesday that it is joining a consortium that seeks to promote confidential computing, i.
e. an approach to protect the confidentiality and integrity of data during its processing in the public "cloud".
For the moment, confidential computing is based on approved execution environments, "enclaves" to isolate data against use by external software.
The consortium for confidential computing currently includes Alibaba, Arm, Baidu, Google, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Red Hat, Swisscom and Tencent.
