Intel: to partner with Huawei for supercomputer in Denmark.
(CercleFinance.com) - Chinese telecoms equipment maker Huawei and US processor manufacturer Intel have been selected to build a new-generation computing cluster for Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
The new supercomputing system will combine Huawei's high-density server, configured with Intel Xeon processors, with Intel's OPA Architecture to deliver bandwidth of up to 100 Gbit/s.
The supercomputing cluster, Niflheim, will be deployed at the computational atomic-scale materials design (CAMD) center at DTU, which was founded in 1829 by H.C. Orsted - the father of electromagnetism.
