Honeywell: Vimal Kapur appointed CEO to replace Adamczyk
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Honeywell announced the appointment of its chief operating officer, Vimal Kapur, as chief executive officer to replace Darius Adamczyk, who has led the industrial conglomerate since 2017.
Vimal Kapur, who will take up his new role on 1 June, will also join the board of directors, which will continue to be chaired by Darius Adamczyk.
Kapur, 57, has spent 34 years at Honeywell, where he led the performance materials (PMT) and building technologies (HBT) divisions, amongst other things, including chief operating officer since July 2022.
The change in leadership comes as the US company has seen its market capitalisation rise from $88bn to $145bn under Adamczyk's leadership, representing compound growth of 9% p.a.
