Honeywell: shares up after dividend hike
(CercleFinance.com) - US industrial conglomerate Honeywell has raised its dividend 10% on Friday, saying the company was "well positioned" for 2019 and beyond.
Investors aplauded the news, with the Honeywell shares up 0.2% at 165.7 dollars on the New York Stock Exchange after the announcement was made, while the S&P 500 index was down 0.1%.
Honeywell said it would increase the company's regular annual cash dividend from 2.98 dollars to 3.28 dollars per share, starting with the fourth-quarter dividend of 0.82 dollar per share.
Since 2010, and including today's announcement, the group has increased the dividend rate 10% or more nine times.
