Home Depot: buys home textile retailer The Company Store
(CercleFinance.com) - Usually not eager to make acquisitions, the US home improvement chain Home Depot has bought The Company Store, an online retailer that specializes in bed sheets and home decoration products.
While the terms of the deal have not been disclosed, Home Depot said the deal closed on 19 December and does not include The Company Store's five retail outlets.
The company said the acquisition will provide product development and sourcing capabilities to expand its own online decor business into broader categories.
