Hasbro: closes acquisition of Power Rangers owner
(CercleFinance.com) - Hasbro closed the acquisition of Saban Properties on Tuesday, getting its hands on the owner of the famous "Power Rangers" franchise for 522 million dollars.
Hasbro's CEO Brian Goldner said that he saw a "tremendous future" for Power Rangers as part of the US toymaker's brand portfolio.
The deal includes several other additional entertainment brands, including My Pet Monster, Popples, Julius Jr., Luna Petunia, and Treehouse Detectives.
The first set of Power Rangers products from Hasbro is expected to be available in spring next year.
