Goldman Sachs: buys personal finance app Clarity Money

(CercleFinance.com) - Goldman Sachs has completed the acquisition of Clarity Money, an app that helps over one million customers manage their personal finances through machine learning, the bank said on Monday.

The free-to-use app - which offers personalized products to save and borrow money - will be branded "Marcus," the personal loan unit that was named after Marcus Goldman, one of the firm's founders, Goldman Sachs said.

After the deal, Clarity Money's founder and CEO Adam Dell, Michael Dell's brother, will join Goldman Sachs as a partner.
