GM: signs MoU with Nikola Corporation
(CercleFinance.com) - General Motors today announced the signing of a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with Nikola Corporation to supply the Hydrotec fuel cell system to Nikola's Class 7/8 semi-trailers.
Depending on the potential project mentioned in the MoU, both companies will also discuss the scope of services that GM could provide for the integration of its system into Nikola's vehicles.
The partners could also agree on a potential supply agreement for GM's Ultium multi-purpose battery system to equip Nikola's 7/8 class trucks.
GM's Hydrotec fuel cell system is set to be designed at GM's engineering facilities in Michigan, Pontiac and Warren, and then manufactured at the Brownstown Charter Township battery assembly plant.
