The group saw its revenues fall further than expected, reaching 3.77 billion dollars, after 3.91 billion dollars a year ago and against 3.79 billion estimated by the market.
General Mills, whose brands include Yoplait, Haagen Dazs and Green Giant, in particular saw its sales fall 5% in North America to 2.44 billion dollars, while the consensus was looking for 2.45 billion dollars.
