GE: selected to supply equipment for Greek power plant
(CercleFinance.com) - GE has announced that it has been awarded an order by Damco Energy, part of the Greek Copelouzos Group, to supply equipment for the future 840 MW natural gas-fired power plant to be built in Alexandroupolis, Greece.
The Alexandroupolis plant will be powered by an engineering package that includes a GE 9HA.02 gas turbine, an STF-D650 steam turbine, a W88 generator and a triple pressure heat recovery steam generator with reheat (HRSG), GE said.
GE is also expected to provide a full range of power plant services for 14 years.
The plant is expected to be commissioned in 2026.
