GE: to deliver 24 wind turbines to the Netherlands
(CercleFinance.com) - GE today announced that GE Renewable Energy has been selected by Vattenfall (a Swedish national power generation and distribution company with operations in several European countries) and SwifterwinT (a local initiative involving agricultural entrepreneurs and residents) to supply 24 Cypress onshore wind turbines of 5.
5 MW each for the Windplanblauw wind farm in the Netherlands.
The 132 MW project also includes a 25-year full service contract, GE said.
Vattenfall and SwifterwinT will operate the Cypress turbines, which are expected to produce enough electricity to power the equivalent of more than 130,000 homes annually.
