GE: names new head of GE Capital unit
(CercleFinance.com) - General Electric on Tuesday named Jennifer VanBelle as chief executive of its GE Capital unit, replacing Alec Burger, who will retire after a 30-year career at the company.
VanBelle - a 20-year veteran of GE who has led GE's treasury operations since 2018 - will expand her role, continuing as treasurer and reporting to CFO Carolina Dybeck Happe.
In addition, GE said that Russell Stokes has been named chief executive officer of GE Aviation Services, a newly created role combining GE's aviation services unit with the repair and overhaul businesses.
Dan Janki has been named CEO of GE Power Portfolio, overseeing the steam power, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy and the power conversion businesses.
Finally, Chris Pereira - who joined GE in 2007 - will expand his role to include vice president of strategy, also continuing as GE chief risk officer.
