GE: to boost stake in Sweden's Arcam.
(CercleFinance.com) - GE will increase its stake in Swedish additives maker Arcam to approximately 95 percent, the US industrial giant said on Wednesday.
The conglomerate has entered into a trade with both Elliott Management and Polygon Investment Group to purchase their shares at 345 Swedish krona per share, it said.
GE previously owned approximately 77 percent of Arcam as part of a public cash offer that was launched in late 2016.
In the future, GE plans to acquire all the remaining shares in a buy-out procedure and to request the delisting of the stock on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange.
Arcam is the inventor of electron beam melting machines for metal-based additive manufacturing, and a producer of advanced metal powders with customers in the aerospace and orthopaedic industries.
