Ford: confirms 2022 adjusted EBIT target
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford yesterday confirmed that it is targeting adjusted EBIT of 11.
5 to 12.5 billion dollars for FY 2022, despite limited availability of certain parts and higher payments to suppliers due to inflationary effects.
Supply shortages will result in more vehicles being built and stored while waiting for necessary parts. Ford says that between 40,000 and 45,000 vehicles - mainly trucks and SUVs - will be idled before being completed and delivered to dealers in Q4.
Ford expects Q3 adjusted EBIT of 1.4 to 1.7 billion dollars.
