Ford: US vehicle sales down 14.1% in February
(CercleFinance.com) - The Ford group announces that it has sold a total of 163,520 vehicles in the United States in February 2021, down 14.
1% y-o-y.
Sales fell, to differing degrees, in each segment, including a 65.2% slump in passenger car sales, -10.2% for SUVs and a lower 3.6% decline in truck sales.
Andrew Frick, head of sales in the US and Canada, is however, trying to be positive and says that Ford reached a new record in electric vehicle sales, helped by the brand new ¨PowerBoost Hybrid and the fully electric Mustang Mach-E.
The market seems to be ignoring the plus points however - the Ford share is down 2.5% in early trading on Wednesday.
