Ford: US Q3 sales down 4.9%
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford has reported total sales in the US that fell by 4.
9% in Q3 to 551,796 vehicles.
The number two in the American market (behind GM) says that while sales of its pick-ups to individuals increased by 8.3%, those of SUVs fell by 3.4% and those of passenger cars slumped over 31%.
Sales of the best-selling model in the United States, the Ford F-Series pick-up, rose by 3.5% to 221,647 units over the past quarter.
Half an hour into trading on Wall Street, the Ford share was down over 1% after these announcements.
