Ford: China auto sales down 22% in second-quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford and its Chinese partners sold 22% less vehicles in China in the second quarter compared to the same period
last year, the US automaker said on Friday.
The company's sales for April to June fell to 154,042 cars, it said in a statement.
In April, Ford had to launch a new transformation plan for China, aiming at fastening up the launch of new models,accelerating the redesign of its business, and sharpening its focus on the Chinese market.
Ford makes vehicles in China in partnership with local joint venture partners.
